On 1st of March 2005, Clarins South Africa became part of the global family, by opening the very first Institut Clarins in Africa, which is situated at the Clarins South Africa Headquarters (17A Scott Street, Waverley, Johannesburg). Designed in Paris by an expert team of Clarins architects, this world-class, state-of-the-art institute boasts 7 rooms including a men’s specific area and a “couples room”. In addition to this, there are full "wet" facilities, including a vichy shower room and spa bath. When Jacques Courtin-Clarins opened his first Beauty Institute on the rue Tronchet in Paris in 1954, he understood long before anyone else the effectiveness of a treatment method based on the beneficial properties of plants and essential oils on the skin, using 100% manual techniques.
