On 1st of March 2005, Clarins South Africa became part of the global family, by opening the very first Institut Clarins in Africa, which is situated at the Clarins South Africa Headquarters (17A Scott Street, Waverley, Johannesburg).
Designed in Paris by an expert team of Clarins architects, this world-class, state-of-the-art institute boasts 7 rooms including a men’s specific area and a “couples room”. In addition to this, there are full "wet" facilities, including a vichy shower room and spa bath.
When Jacques Courtin-Clarins opened his first Beauty Institute on the rue Tronchet in Paris in 1954, he understood long before anyone else the effectiveness of a treatment method based on the beneficial properties of plants and essential oils on the skin, using 100% manual techniques.
All treatments are based on the Clarins Touch. This unique and professional method involves over 80 intricate movements. Highly trained therapists use different rhythmic strokes to stimulate the lymphatic system and blood circulation, to maintain the health of the skin and restore the natural balance and energy of body and mind. No appliance or machine is as sensitive or dexterous as the human hand, and the hands of a Clarins trained therapist have the skill to sense and respond to your skin’s own specific needs.
Not just an ordinary salon, Institut Clarins South Africa is the first in the world to offer both a salon AND spa experience facility. For added convenience and pleasure, Institut Clarins South Africa will be open Monday to Thursday from 08h00 to 18h00, Friday and Saturday from 08h00 to 17h00 and Sunday from 09h00 to 14h00, thus allowing clients to unwind straight after work or at their leisure over the weekend.
