Brenda Mtambo - Women Rise Concert

Joburg Admin / August 19, 2019

What Is It?

This August vocalist Brenda Mtambo and the Barnyard Rivona celebrate Women’s Month with the Women Rise Concert. Singer and songwriter Brenda Mtambo will perform songs close to her heart, including re-interpretations of well-known singers that have inspired her. From Busi Mhlongo, to Mariam Makeba and Letta Mbuli, this songstress will pay homage to South African women and their artistry. The Women Rise Concert is a tribute and celebration of South African women’s achievements. However, Mtambo will also perform many of her own recordings, including “Mhlaba Wethu” and her latest offering “Ungowam Forever”. “Women need to feel empowered, and we as women need to say it to each other, encourage and support one another, women need to speak up, and be heard. As an artist, I’m doing it the best way I know and that’s connecting through music…” Mtambo says. Don't miss this awesome concert event presented by Barnyard Rivonia. It's the perfect way to round off Women's Month. So, get your tickets before they sell out!
