Brand South Africa Young Creative Award Is Officially Open

Joburg Admin / April 12, 2019

Speaking at the launch event hosted at the Loeries offices last night, Brand South Africa Acting CMO, Sithembile Ntombela, reflected on how this award encourages young people to achieve creative excellence. “As custodians of our national brand, we are always looking at inspiring new ways to innovatively showcase South Africa both domestically and internationally,” says Ntombela, “and our partnership with the Loeries does exactly that.”

The Jury President

Katja co-founded Together Design in 2003, where her projects have included designing for some of the world’s best loved British brands, including Fortnum & Mason, Caffè Nero, Roald Dahl, Gordon’s Gin, Peter Rabbit, the Museum of London and five stamp collections for the Royal Mail. In 2013, Together Design launched Perfectly Put Together, an online store selling beautiful oddities, each unique and wonderful. She loves the challenge of developing emotional connections, crafting personality and creating new brands.

An Award Winning Brand

No stranger to winning awards, Brand South Africa together with its agency, The Odd Number, also won four bronze Loeries at last year’s event continuing its winning streak of memorable campaigns that creatively promote active citizenship amongst all South Africans. “As Brand South Africa, we want to actively encourage conversations around the importance that creativity plays on the continent,” continues Ntombela, “and this award not only celebrates the work done by young creatives in Africa, but offers an opportunity to showcase the talent in our industry to the world.”
