classic novels and plays. In many of their used copies you will find inscriptions, giving these books a sense of history. While to some this may devalue the book, to true collectors it only enhances the quality of the paperback. University students familiar with Bookdealers magic will tell you that this is the place to find
literature set books, anthropology, psychology and sociology titles and even history books. As a student of literature, I can vouch that Bookdealers have saved me countless pennies. Whether it be English studies novels or obscure Shakespearean titles, they have it all. And, if they don't, they will find it for you.
If like me, you can't get your hands on enough modernist play scripts, visit a Bookdealers store. Here you can find an array of
Beckett, Williams, Miller, Stoppard and Pinter titles. But, if the modernists aren't quite up your alley, check out Bookdealers range of South African plays and poetry. Of course you will find the classics, including Fugard's
Master Harold and The Boys (1982) and Slabolepsky's
Saturday Night at the Palace. However, Bookdealers are not only about used books and dusty old covers. They also invest in
new editions to keep you coming back for more. Students can pick up theory titles on theatre, poetry and literature as well. Trust me when I write that it is often cheaper to purchase an academic anthology through Bookdealers than pay university library late fees!
