The idea behind
Beerhouse was to curate some of the world's best beers and pair them with a great menu and atmosphere. Calling themselves a gastropub, they proudly boast '99 bottles of beer on the wall' — I kid you not — they are displayed like that, and they also have a strong focus on local craft beer. It's a beer lover's dream come true!

Beerhouse likes to support micro-breweries and includes local brewers like Three Skulls and Draymans. The owners have an immense passion for the industry and they instil that passion into every facet of the business, from managers down to waiters. They train their staff extensively and most importantly, they have to taste the beers to develop their knowledge (now that's a job I'd like!) and be able to recommend beers and educate customers.

Because they do no half measures, the food is also exceptional and unique to Beerhouse. The menu, called Brew Food, features recipes incorporating smokehouse techniques and of course BEER! So there's smoked meatballs, ribs and wings, all done in a smoker on the premises. Also beer-battered hake and brew-BQ sauce on your steak, beer-brined bacon on your burger, and even a milk stout float with whisky ice cream.
Beerhouse is situated conveniently at the Pineslopes Shopping Centre in Fourways, not far from Stones — do yourself a favour and take a tour of the world of beer. And fill up on some hearty Brew Food to line the stomach.
