Visit Harties For The Aloe Festival 2019

Joburg Admin / April 11, 2019

What Is It?

Aloes are wonderfully versatile and hardy plants. They are also incredibly beautiful, displaying vibrant reds, oranges and yellows when they come into full bloom. Unfortunately, we do not often get to see this marvelous plant species in Joburg areas. If you are an avid aloe enthusiast, take a trip to Hartesbeespoort this winter to visit the annual Aloe Festival at De Wet's Aloe Farm. There will be a two week showcase of the aloe's in bloom, as well as informative talks, and a wide selection of superior aloe hybrids and many other succulents, indigenous, and other interesting plants for sale. De Wet's world famous agapanthus hybrids will also be on display. The staff will be on hand to give you planting advice and gardening tips and tricks. This festival is a gardener's paradise, so don't miss out all you green thumbs.

When Is It?

Saturday, 22 June - Sunday, 7 July 2019. Gates open at 10:00 daily.

Where Is It?

De Wet's Aloe Farm - R104 (Old Rustenburg rd) at Hartebeespoort Dam, about 4,5km past Chameleon Village.

How Much Is It?

Ticket prices not communicated. Check out the Aloe Farm's Facebook page for updates.
