Fresh from its acclaimed run at the National Arts Festival, Afropocalypse is an exuberant blend of physical comedy, magical realism, and rich African storytelling. Set in a post-apocalyptic world, a group of survivors navigate ruins and rebirth as they share fables inspired by voices such as Credo Mutwa, Jan Rabie and modern South African myths.
Director Daniel Buckland describes the show as a clever unpacking of society through an apocalyptic lens, filled with physical comedy, puppetry, and ensemble storytelling.
