African Feminisms Conference 2019

What Is It?

The third annual African Feminisms Conference will take place this September. Hosted at the WITS School of Arts, the WITS Theatre and Point of Order in Braamfontein, this three day conference is a must-attend. Confirmed speakers for the African Feminists Conference 2019 include, Kharnita Mohammed (University of Cape Town); Prof Patricia McFadden (Swaziland) and Oyella Mary Goretty (Uganda). So, come through to one of the participating events to engage on the topic of 'Theorising from the Epicentres of our Agency' and many others. The conference will also host creative dialogues with South African curator Natasha Becker and dancer/choreographer Mamela Nyamza, as well as an art exhibition and two performance evenings. Don't miss it!
