19 Italian Songs and Arias in Melville

What Is It?

Tenor Sandile Mabaso will be performing a concert of 19 Italian songs and arias. Sung all in Italian, these songs date back to the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries. Originally composed by the early masters of opera who were members of the Florentine Camerata. Their innovative approach to the opera is still used today, so you are bound to be in for a treat. Mabaso will be accompanied by experimental concert pianist , Jill Richards. The 19 Italian songs and arias capture the joys and pains of new love. A few of the songs even mention names of the lovers. This heightens the intensity of the emotions in the music. The audience will be transported back in time. Come and experience the full emotions of the songs through Mabaso's powerful voice.
