The Verhoogt family, owners of the bakery, initially envisioned a simple neon windmill sign to attract customers. However, after seeing the quotes, a more ambitious idea sprouted. They decided to build a real windmill, not just a sign! Originally intended for offices, the concept evolved into a pancake house and coffee shop. The Verhoogt's realised their customers often traveled long distances and would appreciate a place to relax and enjoy a bite before heading home.
