What Is It?
Make sure you don't miss out on Joburg's third annual Viking Fayre! Not only will you have loads of fun, but you'll also be helping Berserkers raid the shores of Europe in 2020! The South African fighters (seen at Medieval Fayre's Fight-a-Knight) want to fight on the international Full Contact Medieval Combat stage in 2020. And to help them cover their travel and board, 100% of funds raised at this event will go towards getting them overseas to take on the best fighters the world has to offer.
Now onto the good stuff - what will be happening at this event. Here, you can expect everything from the Viking Games, which includes archery, wrestling, stone throwing, toga-honk (tug-of-war), Kubb (Viking chess), obstacle courses and swordplay. To keep you fed and quenched, there will be plenty to eat and drink and keep you merry. There will be feasting, mead and ale in the Mead Hall. Other fun highlights include the chance to test your wits at the Mead Hall Quiz, creating your own Viking personas and entering the Viking Vestment Contest. Don't forget to enter the Viking Quest. There's load of fun for everyone.
