- Simphiwe Buthelezi’s Exhibition: LALA La
South Africans, it’s time to start supporting local, and, in particular, local art. Get yourself to the Bag Factory Artist’s Studios for Simphiwe Buthelezi’s exhibition, Lala La, meaning, “come rest here” in Zulu. You’re not into that “artsy stuff,” you say? Come on, create new neural pathways in your brain with new experiences. It starts small and it starts in 2019. Also, why not expand your children’s artistic appreciation and take them along? The exhibition ends 22 February.

Personally, April is my favourite month. The weather in Joburg is something magical. It has become an annual family tradition to go for a hike and picnic at the Klipriviersberg Nature Reserve in April. Spot dassies, zebras and birdlife, or visit the architectural ruins for some photographic fun.
