Who are we?
We are currently a Substance Abuse prevention, intervention, education, rehabilitation, and addiction counselling and support group consisting of recovered addicts with a passion and a purpose.

Where do we come from?

We are made up of recovered and recovering addicts with more than 20 years of experience who come from the common background of destruction and pain that was our lives. Our common ground being the drug dens, crack houses, night clubs, rehabilitation centres, prisons and support groups of Southern Africa. We come from your corporate office blocks, schools, neighbourhoods and communities; we are the guy or the girl next door. We were your unwanted and until now………un-needed.

The facts:

According to the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime South Africa is now the addiction capital of the world, with 6,75 million (yes million) active addicts currently on our streets, in our corporations, schools etc. It is now estimated that your child has a 90% chance of trying, being offered or becoming addicted to drugs such as heroine, crack or crystal meth (TIK) before the age of 17.

It is estimated that up to 50% of crime is committed by persons addicted to these substances as they are generally using more than they can afford and thus have to resort to crime to feed their addictions.

We along with various other NGO’s have been trying to inform and educate not only the government, but you, the public about this growing epidemic for a number of years.

Why us?
As recovered addicts we and other recovered addicts are the undisputed experts of addiction and how to beat it, because we did so ourselves. We can offer you more insight and expertise in any field related to drug abuse and addiction, whether prevention, rehabilitation, criminality or detection than anyone else: professionals, lawyers, doctors and psychotherapists included, for one simple reason.
