Nissan Pathfinder
Seven seats, five doors and an engine packing 284 horses, the Nissan Pathfinder is more than just a pretty face. At the time of writing, the 2017 model was just released in the US; Nissan SA is expecting the new Pathfinder to arrive on our shores just before Mother’s Day. It’s jam-packed with cool features and if the latest model sticks to the blueprint trod by its 2014 counterpart then we are sold times ten.
Toyota Highlander
Our other favourite Japanese manufacturer, Toyota, has come to the fore with its latest rendition of the ever-popular Toyota Highlander – the mid-range SUV that’s got all the soccer moms talking. All that’s missing from this sweet ride is some Bruno Mars blaring through the speakers; it’s got a great sound system, by the way. The Toyota Highlander comes out with either an 8-speed auto transmission or a manual gearbox, and its 3.5 L V6 engine will ensure that you can climb hills and steep driveways with ease.
Volvo XC60
Probably the original soccer-mom mobile, the Volvo XC60 has grown from strength to strength. The brand is known for producing the safest cars in the world, and the Volvo XC60 is no exception. As one of the prettiest cars on this list, the XC60 comes with a ton of dynamite under the hood. With a choice between 2.5l diesel and 2.0l petrol, this SUV is lighter than most on fuel and low on emissions.
Range Rover Sport
By far the most popular soccer-mom car on this list, the Range Rover Sport is the epitome of beautiful design. The great thing about this SUV is that the interior is sleek, the ground clearance great for doing a bit of off-roading and it goes from 0 to 100 much quicker than one would expect.
