By setting up a master calendar with all your due dates, you’ll keep better track of what needs to be done and when it must be done by. From your master calendar, create a to-do list and prioritise those tasks. Keep your calendar and to-do list ongoing, add and remove as things change. When it comes to organising individual projects, create a project plan, add your items to your to-do list, and work on one thing at a time. Sometimes, it is difficult to get into the groove of a project or to simply focus on a singular thing, if this happens, set a timer for two to five minutes and tell yourself you simply need to focus until the timer goes off. In more cases, after your timer beeps, you’re likely to continue working as you have directed your focus and have gotten into the groove.

When it comes to creating a routine, it is important to know what your productive time zone is – what time of day you work best. Work around those few hours to get as much done as possible and complete some of the bigger tasks. Another tip with creating a routine is to schedule time to do things like grocery shopping, finishing the laundry and keeping yourself fed. Living The Healthy Life
This is an aspect most people struggle to attain, this takes discipline and determination to form healthier habits in order to create a healthier lifestyle.
It’s easy to eat processed food and takeaways, but for maximum concentration, it is important to eat a balanced diet and keep hydrated. Yes, it’s not always easy to switch that chocolate for an apple, but sometimes it’s needed. Keep the chocolate for a reward after a hard day’s work. With that, it’s also important to ensure you stay hydrated – drink your two litres per day.
Sleep is also important! Like our bodies need food and water, we also need sleep for both physical energy and clear minds. Scheduling sleep into your routine will not only keep you awake, in the long run it will improve the quality of your sleep as well.
Another important factor is one of movement. As with routines, it’s beneficial to exercise, as it clears your head, releases endorphins and keeps your body strong. This doesn’t mean you need to run 10km each day, just 20 to 30 minutes of exercise a day, be it in the gym, dancing or a stroll outside.
At the end of the day, the main source of procrastination is distraction – what better way to finish work than by eliminating distractions? The easiest way to do this is to remove all distractions from the room you’re studying and working in. Some easy ways to avoid distractions are to remove them from your desk, switch off notifications and also mute group chats. Don’t think technology is the only distraction, friends can do the same – which is why it’s important to learn to say no. It’s difficult to say no to happy hour, but your future graduated-self will thank you.
