Have you always wanted to explore the Art of Africa? Join the Johannesburg Heritage Foundation in collaboration with Strauss & Co. for their guided tour of the Javett-UP Art Centre in Pretoria.

What Is It?

Join the Johannesburg Heritage Foundation for a guided tour of the newly opened Javett-UP Art Centre at the University of Pretoria. This world-class art centre houses a vast collection of ancient and modern African art, including the Javett Family collection of South African modern art, priceless pieces from the Mapungubwe Gold Collection and AngloGold’s Barbier-Mueller Collection of golden items from West Africa. Come and explore the art of Africa, past and present, guided by Wilhelm van Rensburg from Strauss & Co, author David Fleminger and Dawn Roland from the Javett-UP Centre.

Saturday, 21 March 2020 from 09:00 – 13:30.

Where Is It?

The JHF bus will leave Joburg from the Sunnyside Park Hotel (Princess of Wales Terrace, Cnr Carse O Gowrie &, Sunnyside Drive, Parktown, Johannesburg).
