Where To Eat

If there is one thing you should know about Kramerville is that it's not known for its culinary culture but... there are quite a few really, really, really... REALLY good restaurants that need to be on your radar screen!

Located in Kramerville Corner, Gorge is a coffee shop where you want to be seen. Whether it's a tasty sandwich, wholesome salad, filling wrap or buttery croissant paired with the finest coffee or latte, we implore you to check out Gorge. The eatery serves breakfast and lunch and is a great meeting spot for a quick catch up with friends and family or a solo working session. The java is good and the WiFi decent - what more do you need? We recommend the salmon and cream cheese croissant, the bacon blue burger, and Gorge's Moroccan lamb bowl.

Razor Charlie

Come rain or shine, day or night - Razor Charlie has an exceptional, colourful and inviting atmosphere. Pull out all of the stops and do something extraordinary and grab a couple of drinks and a bite to eat at Kramerville's coolest hangout. Why not spoil your loved one with a delicious dinner? Razor Charlie recently added (well, at the time of writing anyway) a few more vegan/vegetarian meals to the menu. Off the bat, we suggest you try the chicken pot pie, steak tacos, and their amazing spicy fries.

Where To Party

Sir James van der Merwe/ Katy's Palace Bar

Long story short, Sir James van der Merwe took it upon himself to go on a gentleman's quest to find the perfect place to enjoy a drink. He found Katy's and set up shop there. More than a bar, Sir James van der Merwe is an experience, a concoction of old-time charm infused with laid-back sophistication and a twist of Joburg. Strike up casual conversations, linger over a game of billiards and raise a glass to good company. Sir James van der Merwe is open every Wednesday night from 4pm for after work drinks.

Dakota Lee

What happens when you fuse a tattoo parlour with cutting-edge interior design and a well-stocked bar? You end up with a rockabilly hangout worth paying a visit. Dakota Lee is a great place to get your buzz on (that would be the buzz of a tattoo machine) and then grab a lekker drink with a couple of close friends. The vibe is super chilled, the beer cold, and the cocktails mixed by more-than-capable-hands. The venue also features an art gallery and retail space, embracing the full spectrum of tattoo culture.
