The annual Run For Hope Charity Race returns in September 2019. This year, Four Seasons Hotel The Westcliff  have teamed up with Discovery Vitality to raise funds for CHOC (Childhood Cancer Foundation South Africa). This is a race for the whole family, even the little ones. So, bring your friends and family along for a good cause and a fun day out in the sun.

In 2018, this event raised R225 000! Now, for the third year in a row, all proceeds from the race will go to CHOC. So, get your running shoes on and help them raise even more this year. There are also some amazing prizes to be won. Gourmet food will be available after the race. Reward yourself for a race well run and pick up some delicious treats.

The SPAR Women’s Challenge Johanneburg offers women from all walks of life, levels of fitness, shapes and sizes the opportunity to participate in a 5km or 10km road race (walk or run). This challenge is the most popular and inclusive road race in South Africa. The race attracts the country’s top professional female athletes and a vast range of recreational runners. Proceeds from the race are donated to Reach 4 Recovery, an international breast cancer support group. It is affiliated with the International Union Against Cancer (UICC). It is a programme designed to help women with breast cancer in their return to daily life.

The Johannesburg SPAR Women’s Challenge race is a key part of the SPAR Grand Prix series – the only competition of its kind in South African road running. The Grand Prix series allows the country's most outstanding female runners to score points across six SPAR Women’s Challenge 10km races and be eligible for cash prizes and other rewards

What Is It?

This event isn’t about who’s the fastest runner or who has the fittest body, it's actually about good people, good beer, self-love and self-expression. So, dig out your running shoes and take part in a fun 5km run complete with five beer stops, or as they like to call them - “dehydration stations” - en route. Each beer stop will be stocked with a variety beer and will also offer music, entertainment and a chill area where you can relax before heading on to the next point.

Once you've completed the 5km course, face your final challenge by making your way through their inflatable obstacle course before sliding across the finish line. And, to add to the shenanigans, round off the event with the ultimate after-party, complete with an ice-cold beer at your final beer stop and a full afternoon of festivities including music, games, beer pong, bucking bronco, giveaways, food trucks and... more beer!

What Is It?

The Muddy Princess fun 5km run is for all women, no matter their fitness level! As long as you can crawl, walk, run, climb, laugh and play, you’re sure to have a blast and a great adventure. It's perfect for a 'girls’ dirty day out'. There is no competition and no timing, it's all about having lots of fun and laughter. You can tackle the obstacle mud run in a team or on your own. But the participating princesses will also be building a huge team to help one another make it over the obstacles and cross the finish line at their own pace! Little princesses are also welcome to enter, but they must be over six years of age and accompanied by an adult.
