What Is It?

The “On the Lawn” events provide a beautiful outdoor setting for music lovers to enjoy our top music artists live again under the Summer sky. Casalinga and Marks Park also have the gorgeous scenic landscapes needed to relax and gather in with friends and family.

Each event will have picnic style seating and festival-goers are welcome to bring their own picnic blankets, cushions, camping chairs and small umbrellas (beach size max) to add to the comfort of the day on the lawn. Food and drink will be on sale at each event with a bar for drinks, which will also include a specialist Gin Bar, and a host of delicious food offerings.

The live entertainment on each day will see GoodLuck and Matthew Mole share the stage with opening acts EASY FREAK, Werner Bekker and Jethro Tait.

Due to the level 1 restrictions of lockdown and a maximum capacity of 500 people allowed per event, “On the Lawn” has created a picnic outdoor setting that brings you closer to two of SA’s best live performers. A more intimate setting also brings limited tickets and fans are urged to get their tickets quickly before they sell out.

Walk For A Purpose at the country’s largest breast cancer awareness event, the annual Avon Justine iThemba Walkathon. With over 25 500 participants last year, this walkathon has become the biggest single day event held purely to generate awareness for breast cancer.

Breast cancer is the leading type of cancer in women, which makes education and awareness essential since most cases are treatable when diagnosed in time. With Avon Justine’s funding of the Breast Health Foundation’s education programme, generous donations, and involvement with the walkathon, they’re addressing these key issues and spreading the word that early detection does save lives.

Walk The Walk And Spread The Word!

The 2016 iThemba Walkathon will be initiated in waves, with designated groups of up to 10 000 people beginning their walk for a purpose. Water stations will be available at different points of the 7.9km or 5km routes, but participants are encouraged to also have their own water for themselves (and their four-legged companions) so they can stay hydrated while fully enjoying this epic event. At the finish line, there will be a number of exciting activities with nutriphase, who will also be giving away prizes and treats for friendly dogs. Locum Vet will also be onsite to assist your furry companions with minor issues, such as scuffed paws.

Walkers will once again have the opportunity to be part of a historic moment through the #PoutForAPurpose world record attempt at this year’s walkathon. In line with the company’s Beauty for A Purpose mission, this will be an Avon world record attempt for the most number of people applying lipstick at the same event. For those not based in Johannesburg – put on your pinkest Avon pout, take a photograph and upload it to social media using the hashtag #PoutForAPurpose.

There Will Be Loads Of Entertainment

With an exciting lineup of live Entertainment planned, including Kaya FM DJs, e-tv's Sunrise presenters, and other local artists, as well as numerous enterprising food stalls and other activities, participants will be able to relax and enjoy the rest of the day with family and friends after their walk. Participants can also make their dedication with ribbons on the Woman & Home Trees of Hope. The ribbons can be purchased when registering.
