Asia has many places bringing out the best cuisines for you to enjoy. And Johannesburg is home to many of these delicious cuisines. So let's go on a culinary adventure of Asia, right here in our own city.

Saigon Suzy

South East Asia

Saigon Suzy is a South East Asian restaurant that brings a unique offering to the table.

This restaurant specialises in Asian BBQ that is to-die-for. Their drink options have become a favourite choice for regulars.

The food is all about flavour and traditional dishes like dim sum, ramen and bento.

Yume Sushi

Yume Sushi brings something new and fresh to the traditional dishes that Japan has to offer. This spot is well known for their mouthwatering sushi.

Their menu is packed with flavour. We recommend that you try their dim sum, it's truly yummy.

This sushi and noodle bar is a must-visit.

Food Cuisines

Vietnamese cuisine can be found at Saigon. This restaurant is the epitome of what Vietnamese cuisine is about - simplicity and definition. They bring something unique to Rivonia.

Their food is packed with flavour and a wide variety.

Saigon's environment is relaxed, which also speaks to the nature of Vietnam

Lugz Indian Cuisine is an Indian restaurant that specialises in food that is full of flavour and character.

They offer signature Indian cuisine favourites like bunny chow and curry, among others. Their delicious meals burst with flavour. A favourite for many is the bunny chow, this spicy treat is a definite must-try!

Are you looking for Budget Restaurants in Joburg? On top of that are you looking for Budget Restaurants that offer buffets? We've got you covered. Come with us, and don't forget to wear your bib for this one - it's about to get messy.

Weekend breakfast buffets at Trumps are the best. Whether you are going for super healthy or a full-on boere breakfast, they've got the spread for you. It's not that heavy on the wallet either... and to boot, their coffee can hold its own to the bespoke baristas of Parkhurst. Buffet items range from fresh fruit to pancakes, waffles, bacon (so, so much bacon) and everything in between. There is also a build-your-own-omelette station.

A best buffets article would not be complete without an all-you-can-eat sushi bar showing its face. One of our favourite places to grab sushi at would be Hokkaido. The sushi bar is named after the second-largest island of Japan... an interesting fact to mull over while you munch on your sashimi. We like it because of the conveyor belt stuffed with avo maki, salmon California rolls, fashion sandwiches, hand rolls and more. Trust us, you will leave satisfied.

Budget Restaurants

Moyo Zoo Lake

It's quite interesting. Moyo Zoo Lake made it on to this list because their braai-style buffets are priced pretty well for its quality. The buffets are only available over weekends and are quiet popular. The buffet consists of breads, dips, pickles, portions of braai meats and even some decadent desserts ... besides, you get to have lunch and have your face painted in lekker African style.

Billy G

At the time of writing, Billy G offers the best price for quality grub on this list. From sticky BBQ ribs to hot and cold starters and a long line of crisp salads, you won't leave hungry. Black, premium and gold Tsogo Sun card holders are eligible for discounts (which you need to ask about in advance... so don't just order a bunch of stuff and say, "hey that guy from said I can get 90% off on whatever...", because that's not going to work).

This is a great event for the whole family. Sunday will see car clubs get together with friends and make some new ones. The car show will show case all the latest in German and Japanese cars. Sunday is open to the public where there will be lots of car games to get involved in. So why not buy tickets for the whole family to make sure you don't miss out on all the fun.

Tony's is a Chinese take away restaurant and sushi bar. Their food prices are friendly on the pocket and their food quick to deliver. The menu comprises of traditional chow mein, chow fan and Thai food dishes. Plus Tony's uses Kingklip for their fish dishes, which is a great option. Their sushi menu is quite vast and is sold at a reasonable price. Also, Tony's stocks Chinese beer which is rather refreshing and on half price on Sundays.
