Johannesburg North falls under the City of Johannesburg Metropolitan Municipality, and there are various bustling city hubs that are ready and waiting to assist where they can. Randburg offers municipal services all within close proximity from one another to ensure that you get this task done as quickly and effectively as possible. Situated in the Civic Centre on top of the crown of Braamfontein, you will find the City Council. The East Rand and Ekurhuleni have their own jurisdiction and do not form part of the City of Johannesburg Metropolitan Municipality. This part of the city falls under the Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality which can be found in Kempton Park. This office services the great East Rand with a range of government services. In the East Rand, you'll find the Kempton Park Fire Station and the Ted Kirby Fire Station in Bedfordview, SARS is located in Edenvale, and you'll be able to get your license sorted with Licensing Departments in Kempton Park, Bedfordview and Edenvale. In the centre of Randburg CBD, you'll find the South African Revenue Service building. They are the country's tax collecting authority and are responsible for administering the South African tax system and customs service. Need to obtain or renew your drivers license? Then be sure to visit the Randburg Licensing Department also located within the Randburg CBD. Please note that you need to renew your driver's license at the licensing department four weeks before your original license is due to expire.
