Avon Justine iThemba Walkathon 2018

This is an incredible annual event that allows all of us to show support for those living with cancer, as well as their families. So, lace up your shoes, throw on something pink and choose to walk or run for a good cause at this year's 13th annual Avon Justine iThemba Walkathon. When we say that anyone in the family can attend we mean it, including your furry four-legged companions. The Walkathon will be taking place at Marks Park in Emmarentia. Brunch for Breasts
Date: Saturday, 20 October 2018 at 10:00.
Brunch is a definite YES! Be part of this breast cancer awareness event where Lemon Leaf Events will be joining up with La Vie En Rose to host a Brunch For Breasts event to raise money in support of the Pink Drive. Come with an appetite and enjoy some mouthwatering food that will contribute to a great initiative. Tickets are limited but snag yours quick and expect gifts from The Candle Factory Shop, as well as prizes,Mandy’s hampers and a chance to win spa vouchers from Camelot Spa at Melrose Arch! 2018 SPAR Women’s Challenge Joburg
Date: Sunday 7 October 2018 starting at 08:00 (doors open at 06:00)
The SPAR Women’s Challenge Johannesburg offers women from all walks of life and levels of fitness the opportunity to participate in a 5km or 10km road race (walk or run). This challenge is the most popular and inclusive road race in South Africa and attracts the country’s top professional female athletes and a vast range of recreational runners. Proceeds from the race are donated to Reach 4 Recovery, an international breast cancer support group designed to help women with breast cancer return to daily life. It is affiliated with the International Union Against Cancer (UICC). See you there!

PinkDrive High Coffee – Johannesburg
Date: Friday, 19 October 2018 at 13:30 - 17:00.
PinkDrive currently runs four “Pink” mobile breast check units, as well as nine educational cars. All units travel to semi-urban and urban areas around South Africa with the aim of enabling numerous disadvantaged communities access to diagnostic mammography screening, education, physical examinations and how to do breast self-examination. The PinkDrive High Coffee event is a chance to support the amazing work they PinkDrive is doing, simply by drinking coffee or two and enjoying an afternoon out. The theme for this year is Pink-A-Dot, and you'll stand a chance to win awesome prizes. For more information, visit their website.

Toyota Warrior 8 Race 2018
Date: Saturday, 24 November 2018.
This event is happening in November but is still part of supporting the cause. Warriors will be presented the same challenge to conquer a set number of obstacles, but with an exciting urban feel! All fitness levels are catered for with three categories on offer – Rookie, Commando and Black Ops. Those who are interested in some extra high-speed action have the option of entering the popular reebok Sprint Race too.
This is a shorter and more compact obstacle course which can be entered individually or as a team. Little adventurers are especially welcome to join in on the fun! A specifically designed obstacle course will be available for youngsters, as well as a WARRIOR Kids Zone under the supervision of child-minders. Obstacle course racing is a sport that encourages you to be a braver and better version of yourself. #BeMore and don’t miss out on the final adventure at Toyota.

Craft Bra Dash
Date: Sunday, 28 October 2018 at 10:00 - 17:00.
Come support the 5th Annual Bra Dash in support of Breast Cancer Awareness where both women and men are encouraged to run in pink bras to support the cause. It starts and ends at CRAFT restaurant in Parkhurst, so you can end off your dash with a milkshake. All the proceeds for the cause will directly go to the PinkDrive.
