Parking

When it comes to parking at the mall, there's plenty space available, ensuring ease and convenience when you visit the cenre. There are three parking entrances accessible from the N14 Highway, Furrow Road and Hendrik Potgieter Road. There are over 4 000 parking bays across four undercover parking levels and one main open level. You can access the mall through seven main entrances. Also, there's a minimum of two disabled parking bays as well as family parking at each entrance. As for parking payment, parking is FREE, all day, every day! Bright Young Chefs Holiday Club

Dates: 23 - 26 March 2020 & 30 March 2020

First up on our school holiday programme list is something tasty. Do your children enjoy cooking? Bright Young Chefs will be hosting an Easter-themed holiday club over the autumn school holidays. The cost is between R155 to R205 per workshop (three hours long) per child, which includes a chef’s hat, use of all the equipment and ingredients, refreshments, aprons (for use only) and takeaway containers. They’ll have lots of fun cooking and baking delicious Easter goodies, such as Easter cupcakes, Easter Eggs, Easter biscuits, a Chocolate Bunny Cake, and an Easter Egg Cream Tart. Casual Bum-Boarding At Ski Deck

Treat the kids to an afternoon of bum-boarding, slope-surfing and sliding down the 20m slope at the famous Ski Deck in Ferndale. No need to endure freezing conditions and travel to the other side of the world to enjoy a little skiing. The cost is R100 per child, for two hours of fun. They’ll also have access to the jungle gym and zip line. Bookings for this are only available during the week and by appointment.

Be a Zoo Keeper for a Day at Lory Park Zoo

Date: 24 - 27 March 2020 |  07 - 09 April 2020 | 21 - 24 April 2020

Be a Zoo Keeper for a Day at Lory Park Zoo is an opportunity to teach children about animals and how to be a zoo keeper for the day. Kids will learn about animal welfare through daily husbandry which will include activities such as cleaning and feeding camps. Kids will get involved with enrichment (making toys for the animals) to vet care and preventative medicine while also learning about lions, tigers, reptiles to owls and more. It's great fun for all ages. Children will be supervised by the education officer or supervisor on duty at all times to ensure their safety. The cost of this holiday programme is R200 per day and includes the full day of activities and a small lunch (hotdog, chips, drink and ice-cream). Make sure your child has extra water, sunscreen and old clothes that can get dirty, as well as extra snacks to nibble on throughout the day.

School Holiday Fun For The Kids

This December, Cradlestone Mall will be bringing youngsters plenty of wild fun and thrilling themed holiday activities to keep boredom at bay. Their holiday fun programme will be available throughout the mall from 12 December 2018 to 06 January 2019 along with a jungle playground.

Adrenaline-pumping inflatables will be all the buzz in the Adventure Park (in the open parking with an entrance fee of R30 per child), but there’s also lots of fun to be had INSIDE the mall. They’ve put together various inflatable activities that are not only exciting but affordable!

Under The Sea Obstacle Course

As you guessed, this obstacle course is ocean-themed! Kids will enter through monstrous shark jaws, tackle their way through the wavy obstacle course, face the scary Kraken and make their final escape through the Pirates Cove. It's an adventure like no other!

Animal Express Train

All aboard the Animal Express Train! This one is the perfect activity for kiddos who have a love for trains. They'll take a scenic trip through Cradlestone Mall and jump, jump, jump!

Tropical Jungle Playground, Woolworths Court

This play area has it all — lots of wild animals and plenty of exotic plants dangling from a thicket of vines above. From the first step, kids get swiftly teleported into a world of wonder as they walk beside gigantic flowers in an array of tropical colours. It’s the perfect spot for a photo.

The adventure heats up a notch with danger ahead! The little ones must balance as they cross a perilous swing bridge that hangs over blazing coals and flames to make it to the other side while dodging the poisonous fire-snakes! Once out of danger, they must crawl on all fours through a cobwebbed, dark, mysterious cave while avoiding the giant spiders!

Leaving the cave, there's a jump up onto another bridge and slide down to the next branch of the adventure. The little explorers will have to get down on their 'paws' to discover all the treasure that lies beneath them. Best they grab some tools and start digging. If they look between the plain old rocks and they could spot precious rubies, sapphires and diamonds! And at the very edge of the forest is where the real fun awaits – run-up ramps, ropes, slides, a crawl-through tunnel, wooden decks, a mini-rock climb and more.

Dinosaurs of the Lost World at Cradlestone Mall

What Is It?

Something big and exciting is coming to Cradlestone Mall this winter! In conjunction with the cinema release of Jurassic World 3, prehistoric creatures will come alive as they bring the Dinosaurs of the Lost World, just in time for the chilly school holidays. You and the kids can take a close look at a massive and mesmerising T-Rex dinosaur display at the open parking and 24 other animatronic dinosaurs throughout the mall.

They also have a variety of dinosaur-themed activities perfect for all ages, including live augmented reality, dinosaur rides and selfie opportunities inside dino eggs. But the list of dino fun doesn't end there! There'll be hands-on activities such as fossil digging and displays, an interactive play gym, online tablet games and even dinosaur face painting. And, as if that wasn't enough, let your kids experience the inflatable amusement at the Woolies court, where they can slide through the mouth and down the tongue of a larger-than-life T-Rex! And don't forget to take your camera to capture all the fun! Who knows, your special dino moments might be featured on their website.
