The Secret Garden is tucked away at Uncle Tim's Centre in Benoni. Surrounded by beautiful gardens and water features, this spot is the ultimate garden to dine like royalty. With meals catering to vegans, vegetarians and meat eaters, there is something here for every palate. In fact, almost all the menu choices are available in both vegan and meat options. Our top choice for brunch would be the Breakfast Waffle. Vegans can enjoy their savoury waffle topped with creamy spinach, mushrooms and tofu scramble, vegetarians get their waffle topped with an egg, mushrooms and welsh rarebit and meat eaters can indulge in a waffle complete with eggs, bacon and welsh rarebit.
What better way to enjoy a late morning brunch than with a plate of fluffy waffles? Luckily, Benoni is home to a waffle haven. Little Belgium, located at Flamingo's Nest Boutique Hotel, offers generous checkered goodness straight out of Belgium. Offering a selection of breakfast, savoury and sweet waffles, there is no better place to indulge come brunch time. While the adventurous may opt for the Sergeant Benedict or a Butter Chicken Waffle, we're suckers for the classic sweet waffle. Available in six variants, there's something to satisfy any sweet tooth. Complete with a lush garden and play area for the kids, this is the perfect spot to treat the family this summer.
For Victorian-style brunch elegance, head to The Victorian Secret on Woburn Street. Complete with giant trees, stark white window panes and an exquisite tea garden, this restaurant and bakery is worthy of a queen. Spoil a loved one with a delicate lunch under the shade of the luscious trees. The menu features an array of breakfasts, light meals and gourmet sandwiches perfect for brunch dining. We recommend none other than the Queen Victoria. Two poached eggs are served with bacon, rocket and grilled tomato on a crisp rosti, topped with creamy hollandaise sauce. Pair this with one of their fine teas for the perfect brunch.
Experience country-style dining like never before at Shed & Silo. This farm-style restaurant promotes eco-sustainability by growing their own produce. This not only helps the environment, but ensures the food on your plate is as healthy and fresh as can be. If you're unsure of what to try on your first visit, you can't go wrong with the Eggs Benedict. Olive ciabatta is topped with crispy bacon, perfectly cooked eggs and creamy hollandaise. This dish is finished with a sprinkle of sesame seeds and a garnish of micro herbs. Brunch doesn't get any better than this, especially when paired with a perfectly brewed cup of hot coffee.

Looking for the ultimate brunch spot for a group of friends or family? Then head to Café Bellini. Winding walkways, green shrubbery and magnificent garden decor sets the scene for a brunch like no other. With their wide array of breakfast, sandwich, wrap and light meal choices, you'll have trouble deciding on what to order. Our choice would be between the Breakfast Cup - two toast cups filled with poached eggs, bacon and grilled tomato - and the Cypriota Open Sandwich - fried halloumi, avocado and sweet chilli sauce on a choice of white, brown, rye or low GI bread. Throw in a Greek-style Café Frappé and you're set for the day.
Treat yourself to a mouthwatering brunch at The Social House. Offering family-style dining in a cosy environment, there is no better place to enjoy beautifully plated meals in the late morning to early afternoon. While their menu features many yummy choices, who could resist a filling Breakfast Burrito? Stuffed with scrambled eggs, chorizo sausage and tomato and onion relish, we couldn't. Vegetarians have the option of replacing the chorizo with mushroom for a meat-free alternative. If that isn't your cup of tea, try the Quiche (also available in a crustless option for the carb-conscious) of the day, served with a crunchy side salad.
