The pairing of good food and great wine takes centre stage at Balata Restaurant at The Fairway Hotel, Spa & Golf Resort. These elegant, exclusive monthly events will give guests the opportunity to learn about the history of the different wine estates, while providing rare insight into the production processes of some of South Africa’s finest wines.
Commenting on the wine dinners, Fairway Hotels General Manager, Christopher Trimble said: “Each wine dinner offers a completely unique experience to our guests: from the wines on offer to the paired menu, to the winemaker hosting the event. When designing the calendar, we wanted the evenings to be about the personalities of the hosts and the craftsmanship of the wine estates.”

The Wine Dinners will take place at the Balata Restaurant, located at the Fairway Hotel, Spa & Golf Resort. The restaurant offers stunning views of the Randpark Golf Course. The Balata Restaurant showcases a modern spin of classic flavour combinations and a commitment to quality ingredients and depth of flavour. Service is provided with relaxed elegance in a contemporary elegant setting.
When Is It?
For those who savor great food and wine, what better way to celebrate an evening out than with a fabulous dinner and perfectly paired wines? On Thursday, 29 August 2019, Balata Restaurant will host the Antonij Rupert Wine Dinner.
The welcome reception starts at 19:00, followed by an elegant four-course meal. All four courses will be expertly paired with Antonij Rupert wines. The cost is R450 per person.
