For many local artisans, crafts people and traders, the past few months have been dire. Most rely on weekend markets to sell their wares and keep afloat. Under hard lockdown restrictions, many could not make a living, as their life bloods were closed to curb the spread of COVID-19. However, now that the city is entering advanced level 3 lockdown, things seem to be on the up.

Just a few weeks back we announced that the Bryanston Organic Market had reopened. Now we've got even better news - the Rosebank Sunday Market is officially back up and running! On Sunday, 28 June 2020, they hosted their comeback market. Bringing together over 100 traders on the rooftop of Rosebank Mall, this was an exciting reintroduction to the outside world for many.

What's on offer?

The Rosebank Sunday Market offers a wide variety of retail and food stalls. There's a little something for everyone here - whether you're into vintage clothing, trinkets, homemade jams or arts and crafts. However, what sets this market apart from all the others is its epic view of the Joburg skyline. This is the place to enjoy sundowners on a Sunday afternoon. With its vibrant market experience and entertainment for all, the Rosebank Sunday Market is the ideal occasion to take your first steps back out into the real world. Their next market will take place on Sunday, 26 July 2020 from 09:00 - 15:00, so don't miss out!

Due to the COVID-19 regulations, your favourite local rooftop market may look slightly different. You will be asked to wear a face mask at all times and maintain social distancing measures. Please bring along your own hand sanitiser as well, to keep your hands clean. But you needn't worry that the market experience will be dampened in any way. There will still be craft stalls, music, and gourmet food traders for all to enjoy.
