What Is It?
The annual Absa Champagne Festival is back this October for it's 17th year, offering guests with something exciting and delectable to tantalise their palates. This is the only champagne fest of its kind in South Africa and promotes some of the most premium champagnes available. And for the first time, this popular and much-anticipated festival will showcase African artists in a luxury experience, while celebrating 100 years since the birth of our great former president, the late Nelson Mandela.
Festival visitors will get the opportunity to sample some of the best from the world’s leading champagne houses, paired with exquisite cuisine while appreciating an exhibition of some of the Africa’s best artwork. They'll also be showcasing the most French champagne houses they've ever had at this event - close to 40. Inclusive in the ticket price, visitors will also receive a tasting pack with a champagne flute.
Wall hangings and sculptures from both established and emerging artists will go under the hammer as a new feature of the event, in the form of a silent auction with proceeds being donated to the Nelson Mandela Foundation.
