Kripsy Kreme

How long has it been since you last sunk your teeth into a perfectly sweet doughnut from Krispy Kreme? Whether you’re all about the double glaze or are a fan of their famous stuffed doughnuts, a few sweet treats from Krispy Kreme should satisfy any craving you have. Most of their outlets around the city are now open under strict health and safety precautions. You can also pick up a box of doughy delights from their Doughnuts-On-The-Go cabinets at selected Engen garages and Pick n Pay stores.

However, Krispy Kreme knows that life is a little topsy-turvy at the moment – with schools reopening and most of us headed back to work. If you simply don’t have the time to visit your nearest Krispy Kreme store or are working hard from home, order yourself a box of their doughnuts on the Mr Delivery or Uber Eats apps. Not only will you be saving on precious time, but ordering this way ensures contactless delivery to help keep you and your family safe.

What’s On The Menu?

Krispy Kreme never fails to tempt us with their awesome menu selection. This month, there are a few new additions to get you drooling, including an Almond Butter and Roasted Nougat filled doughnut and a Dark Chocolate Roasted Nougat ring topped with chocolate shards. They’ve also kept the Strawberry Nesquick doughnut from their Candyland edition on the menu for the little ones. Doughnuts for dinner anyone?

Crumbs & Cream

What started out as a humble ice cream truck has become one of Joburg’s top dessert destinations. Crumbs & Cream at Illovo Junction is the ultimate place to go for a sweet and sticky indulgence. Their ice cream sandwiches are famed around the city for having the perfect ice cream to biscuit ratio. In level 3 lockdown, you may visit their store for a quick takeaway, but who really has the energy to get dressed and go out for dessert these days? Rather order in with Mr Delivery or Uber Eats. We promise no one will judge you for running out onto the pavement to pick up your ice cream in your pajamas. After all, what goes better with a Netflix binge than the best creamy dessert the city has to offer?

What’s On The Menu?

Crumbs & Cream has cut down their takeaway menu to facilitate fast and contactless delivery. This unfortunately means that you won’t be able to get your hands on one of their ice cream sandwiches without visiting them in store. However, you can get your very own Crumbs & Cream ice cream sandwich making kit delivered to your door! It comes with up to 20 cookies and 10 scoops of assorted ice cream flavours of your choice.

If that wasn’t enough to tickle your fancy, check out the Crumbs & Cream ice cream cakes. Delectable layers of ice cream sandwich between a giant biscuit and topped with rainbow sprinkles – what more could you ask for? These funky cakes are perfect for celebrating birthdays in lockdown or simply for those days when you need a bit of cheering up.

Lindt

Have you heard? Lindt Chocolate Boutiques will be open in level 3 lockdown! Visit your nearest boutique to find all your favourite Lindt Chocolate goodies and to discover their great new offerings. If you’ve never visited one of these stores, you’re in for a real treat. Imagine Willy Wonka’s Chocolate Factory, but better! After months cooped up at home, we think this is the perfect outing to introduce yourself to the outside world again. Of course, if you aren’t quite ready for such a grand adventure, you can rely on Mr Delivery and Uber Eats to see to your chocolate needs. Simply select your closest Lindt Chocolate Boutique on the app and place your order. What could be easier?

What’s On The Menu?

Lindt recently debuted their #SupportYourCity campaign in a bid to give back to those working in the fight against COVID-19. You’ve most likely seen their revamped Hello bars on shelves, each featuring one of South Africa’s most renowned cities (Joburg is Cookies and Cream if you were wondering). For every slab you buy, R1 will be donated to hospitals in that city in an effort to give back to our unsung heroes and those in need. If you can’t make it out to the store or to a Lindt Chocolate Boutique, please do order a few slabs through the Mr Delivery or Uber Eats apps.
