The Terracotta Army and the First Emperor of China: The Exhibition

From 15 June to 24 August 2016, the mystique and secrets of Ancient China will be on display with The Terracotta Army and the First Emperor of China: The Exhibition housed at Silverstar. The exhibition is a glimpse into an extraordinary voyage in Ancient China 2 200 years ago, and is the most complete exhibition ever created on the Terracotta Army, the necropolis, and life of the First Emperor. View more than 300 life size reproductions of statues, chariots, weapons and objects from the daily life of the First Emperor of China. Family packages are available at R350 for a family of four (two adults and two children). Children under the age of five enter for free.

The Power of Poison

Don’t miss out on the opportunity to see this remarkable exhibition which explores the mystical role that poison has played in nature, human health and history, literature and myth. The Power of Poison is showing at The Globe at Silverstar from 24 June – 24 August 2016. Exhibition times are from 09:00 – 19:00 daily. Guests are invited to explore some of history’s most interesting stories of poisonings, forensic detection, and an interactive section where eye witness accounts can be used to solve poisoning mysteries. This exhibition will intrigue both young and older visitors. Also discover the light-hearted side of poison as you voyage through the recreation of Snow White’s fairytale and the witch’s poisonous apple.
