What Is It?

Joburg Theatre presents the collaborated schools setwork festival, showcasing two school school setworks and bringing literature to life. The schools setwork festival aims to bridge the gap between the classroom and literature - offering students the opportunity to engage, debate and relate to what they learn at school.

Take the kids along to see My Children My Africa or Shakespeare's Macbeth, either as a reinforcement of their studies or just for the fun of going to see a live theatre performance. The Duma Ndlovu Academy will put an African spin on Shakespeare’s Macbeth, making this classic contemporary and relatable to young learners. Athol Fugard’s My Children, My Africa presented by Shakeexperience will also be presented as part of the festival.
