Not A Single Story

In the words of Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie – “Shun a single story as it creates stereotypes and the problem with stereotypes is not that they are incomplete. They make one story become the only story.”

What Is It?

The Not a Single Story exhibition personifies being open to explaining a story in different ways than one, that way stereotype is eliminated. The exhibition embraces the fact that there are different interpretations to a story. The event consists of an exchange between sculpture parks on two continents to bring forward contemporary concerns and working methods related to the sculptures. Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie inspired the exhibition’s main goal of “Not a Single Story” movement, as she puts emphasis on realising that there is never a single way to explain a place or story and understanding that we are able to regain a kind of paradise.

The exhibition aims to inspire a comprehensive educational programme for children and the youth to broaden their perspective on understanding life and art. Workshops, talks, and tours will be presented by the NIROX Winter Program context, together with a wider range of programs. So, do come through for this one!
