Huawei Joburg Day

The Standard Bank Joy of Jazz Festival
This is one for all the cool cats out there. The 22nd annual Standard Bank Joy of Jazz Festival returns to the Sandton Convention Centre in September. Showcasing both South African and international jazzists, musicians and singers, the festival is a three day jazz affair. There are five stages at the venue, each featuring a number of super talented artists. This year, musicians will be coming from countries world over, including the USA, Switzerland, Thailand, Ghana, Nigeria and Cuba. Make a weekend of it and stay over at one of the many fine hotels near the venue.

Prime Fest
Prime Fest returns for its second year at Casalinga Restaurant in Muldersdrift. Another all South African music festival in the city, Prime Fest features eight top SA music acts. This is a family-friendly festival taking place over 10 hours, giving you an all day music experience. The lineup for this year’s festival includes Prime Circle, The Parlotones, Just Jinjer, Jack Parow, Freshly Ground, Wonderboom, Mango Groove and Shut Up It’s Sunday.

Can Do In The City Festival
The Can Do In The City Festival is undoubtedly the biggest international tour headed to Joburg. English indie-pop foursome, The 1975, will headline a stellar line-up of artists from the UK, the US and Australia. Plus, there may be a few South African support acts added right at the last minute just to amp up the excitement. Passenger
Passenger, AKA Mike Rosenberg is headed back to Joburg for a solo concert at the TicketPro Dome in November. After receiving a massive amount of support from his South African fans during his stint as Ed Sheeran’s support act in March 2019, Big Concerts announced that Passenger would be back for a solo show. The English crooner is best known for his 2013 single, Let Her Go. If you are fan of folksy guitar ballads and clever lyrics, this one is for you.
