Welcome Spring With The Melrose Arch All-White Spring Weekend

The city is in bloom. Oh, how we love Spring! The question is: how are you going to be welcoming and celebrating the arrival of this fresh and beautiful season? We’ve got the perfect family friendly event for you – The Melrose Arch All-White Spring Weekend.

What Is It?

After what has felt like a never-ending winter, Melrose Arch will come alive to celebrate the start of spring with their third annual All-White Spring weekend. This year’s festivities will be even more exciting as it coincides with the much-anticipated 2023 Handmade Contemporary Fair (HmC), Africa’s premier artisanal luxury fair. A host of activities will attract a much larger-than-usual crowd. Whether you’re a foodie, a fashionista, an art-lover, a muso or a petrol head, there is something for everyone this September at Melrose Arch.

The Handmade Contemporary Fair

The Handmade Contemporary Fair will once again be showcasing the finest handmade creations from across the continent, with over 100 artisans showcasing their diverse range of disciplines. From fashion, accessories, and homeware, to furniture, foods, wine and all things gorgeous, bespoke and luxury, HmC Fair will this year be championing the preservation of cultural heritage with the theme “Where Handmade African Luxury Meets the Future”.

Local and international luxury enthusiasts will have the opportunity to engage with both acclaimed South African makers and renowned international African brands. This includes the likes of Lerato Motau, Nahla Sleepwear, One of Each, Wakanda Food Incubator and Helon Melon. As well as ethereal fashion accessories by Kenya’s Adele Dejak and Messay Organic Cotton from Ethiopia. Luxury women’s lifestyle and fashion brand Mille Collines from Rwanda is also an eagerly anticipated vendor this year.
