Me in my happy place…Every night I read to Nina and Rex in our bed and then lie with them a bit before they go to sleep. It’s become our nightly ritual and a time I really look forward to. I love having them right next to me, each one snuggled in on either side. Often, Rex will fall asleep first and then Nina and I will chat for a bit about things, how her day was, what she liked the most about it. I can’t tell you how much I love this time with my kids. Even though I often have to read the same books over and over again and sometimes I land up falling asleep and then waking up 2 hours later, recharged and ready to tackle the night, it’s all worth it. Often when I’m just lying with them I’ll think about how one day they’re going to be too big for this and it literally brings tears to my eyes. It all goes by so fast, so for now I’m going to cuddle and enjoy the numerous adventures of What The Ladybird Heard Next for as long as I can 🙂 #ninajamesdurrant #rexphilipdurrant #lockdownlife #durrantlockdown

I love Thai food and I love dishes that can be whipped up in 3, 2, 1 BOOM! This next recipe that I’ll be sharing with you is made from eight ingredients, eight simple, yet complementary ingredients that make up one of my favourite dishes, Beef In Satay Sauce. This meal is so good, but only if you are a fan of peanut butter and coconut flavours, so if you’re nodding yes whilst reading this, then let’s get stuck in! Coffee or tea?

Coffee.

Who are you in lockdown with?

My husband, Shane, and my kids, Nina James and Rex.

What are you currently most grateful for?

The three people mentioned above.

How do you keep yourself going and motivated during this time?

I try to keep active during the day and I don’t mean by exercising (I’m surprised I even know how to spell that word). I try do something creative, even if it’s small. I’ve also really liked connecting more with people who follow me here on Instagram, that has been really cool!

Spread the love
