The City of Gold is known for its iconic skyline, vibrant nightlife and hipster hangouts. Beyond the gastropubs and craft breweries in Ferreirasdorp, there is a new kid on the inner-city beverage block. Let’s introduce you to one of our favourite producers in the country: Time Anchor Distillery, a joint venture between longtime friends Warrick Brown and Shanna Rae Wilby. What started out as an experiment to cure their curiosity soon turned into a fully fledged distillery that now produces rum, vodka and gin.

Time Anchor Distillery hosts gin tastings and a sit-down tour of their facility which is in New Doornfontein, a stone’s throw from Arts on Main. Click here for more details and watch this video we shot at one of their tastings.
