The 19th annual NSA Festival of the Arts kicks off with a riveting adaptation of Shakespeare’s ‘Hamlet’. Bring the kids along to experience the wonder and magic of live performance. 

What Is It?

The 19th annual National School of the Arts Festival takes place this March at Joburg Theatre. Kicking off the festival is the riveting Hip Hop Hamlet directed by NSA duo Laine Butler and Johan Anker.  Shakespeare’s greatest tragedy, Hamlet is the Grade 12 setwork for 2020, so this production provides an excellent opportunity for learners to engage with the work up close. With the added flair of hip hop beats and clever lyrical sonnets, Hip Hop Hamlet is a must-see for young people. Don’t let your kids miss out!
