Autumn has arrived! Best we make the most of the cooler weather, and what better way to do that than exploring the city and check out all the cool entertainment coming up over the next three months. Here’s what you can get up to between March and May. 


Defending The Caveman – Tim Plewman

Dates: 08 – 29 March 2019

If you haven’t seen Tim Plewman’s Defending The Caveman, then you’re truly missing out! This show makes for one hilarious and somewhat educational night out with your special someone. This comical must-see is back by popular demand – a hilarious, affectionate and insightful production explains why men and women see the world so differently, and will have you looking at your partner with new eyes. After years of hearing that all men are jerks, the Caveman once again stands up to be counted.

The Dino Kids Play Arena

Dates: 09 March 2019 – 28 April 2019

Something for the kids! Since March is school holiday season, here’s the perfect way to keep them entertained and away from their tech gadgets. The Dino Kidz Play Arena is a unique dinosaur-themed children’s indoor play space that brings a prehistoric twist to traditional kid’s entertainment. Sleeping Beauty The Ballet

The grandest ballet classic of all comes to life at the Joburg Theatre this March! The Sleeping Beauty will be returning to the Johannesburg stage after an eight-year absence. The fairy tale will be brought to life by the talented Joburg Ballet company and will be presented in collaboration with the Johannesburg Philharmonic Orchestra. Men In Tutus

How about some side-splitting comedy and a little bit of ballet with Men In Tutus, which will be taking centre stage at Montecasino this April? This is definitely a must-see. Ballet Eloelle, an all-male comedic ballet danced by 19 prima dancers, will be bringing hard-to-find humour to classic ballet. This is one reason for the popularity of this fabulous troupe of male ballerinas. Men In Tutus is the most spectacular, talented and hilarious all-male comedy ballet, combining brilliant dancing technique and tongue-in-cheek humour with intentional foibles and dancing mishaps.

Discovery 947 Rhythm Run 2019

The third Discovery 947 Rhythm Run is the coolest night run in Jozi, where you get to hit the track while listening to great tunes.
