Superzest Halloween Night Trail Run

Date: Thursday, 31 October 2019 at 19:00 – 21:00

Venue: PWC Bike Park, 1A Libertas Street & off Sloane Street, Bryanston, Johanneburg

Lace up your running shoes and grab the whole family for a night of spooky fun! Don’t miss the Superzest Halloween Night Trail Run at PWC Bike Park. Take your pick from either the 5km or 8km run. As for the kids, they’ll have a blast with the trick or treat run. Make sure you dress up for the occasion, it’s the spookiest time of the year after all.

The Haunted Forest

Date: Saturday, 26 October 2019 – Sunday, 27 October 2019

Venue: Killarney Country Club, 60 5th Street, Lower Houghton, Johannesburg

There are two sessions to this event, one that’s family friendly and the other that’s adults only. But for now, we’ll talk about the family-friendly version. For one day only, a 3km woodland walkway will scare the daylights out of brave visitors with plenty of freaky things like creepy eyeballs and skeletons in unexpected places. Families can watch a PG scary movie on the big screen and enjoy tons of activities to keep everyone entertained, including trick or treating for the kids. The only requirement is that you dress up in your most ghoulish costume.

AdventureTails Halloween BarnWalk & Run

Date: Saturday, 26 October 2019 at 07:00 – 10:00

Venue: The Big Red Barn, 7 Nelson Road, Olifantsfontein, Johannesburg

This one is for the whole family, including your four-legged fur babies! Join AdventureTails and Bravecto for their fun Tick or Treat Walk/Run. If you and your doggies arrive dressed in your best Halloween costumes, you could win some awesome prizes! Also, Discovery Vitality members will earn 300 Vitality points on the 5km trail and 600 on the 10km route. After crossing the finish line, hang out for a while and enjoy plenty of eats and drinks. There will be lucky draws and prizes up for grabs.

Every year, the organisers do something excitingly creepy to delight visitors, both young and old, so don’t miss out.

Date: Sunday, 27 October 2019

Venue: Greenstone Shopping Centre, corner Van Riebeeck and Modderfontein Road, Greenstone Hill, Johannesburg

Looking for Halloween thrills for the little ones? Navigate the Creepy Crawly Cave and jump into the giant Candy Floss Pit, then try your hand at the Rock Climbing Wall. For the ultimate sensory play, visit the Witch’s Spot – a collection of mysterious, weird and whacky substances. This experience is limited to 200 kids aged 2 – 12 (parental supervision required). Click here to book ASAP. Also, little trick or treaters aged 2 – 12 are invited to walk through the mall and collect additional sweets at participating stores on the day. Doritos Presents The Festival de Mexico Halloween Fiesta!

Date: Saturday, 26 October 2019 at 12:00 – 22:00

Venue: Outdoor event arena at Montecasino, Montecasino Blvd, Fourways, Johannesburg

There’ll be more music, more food and a whole lot more fun, but this time, for the entire family! Celebrating the Mexican Day of the Dead festivities with Halloween decor, costumes and trick or treating, get ready for the Festival de Mexico Halloween Festival at Montecasino. Indulge in authentic and oh-so-delicious Mexican food from over 24 different food vendors, sample a variety of tequilas and Mexican cocktails, have a blast with piñata showdowns, a chilli-eating competition, mariachi bands, bull riding, face painting and the fun-filled kiddies area. Expect deranged, frightening horror and prepare to dance like the undead. There’s no dress code, but it’s Halloween after all, so why not dress up in your creepiest outfit? The live music lineup includes Dennis Cruz, Tim Green, Animal Trainer and other local heavyweights.
