The Lyric Theatre at Gold Reef City Casino is hosting a Comedy Season in November and December this year, featuring a fantastic line-up of the best comedians in town.
* Darren (Whackhead) Simpson’s Off Air takes to the stage on 19 and 20 November. Radio’s famous telephone prankster will roll onto the stage for his one man stand-up comedy show – a no-holds barred rollercoaster ride of uncut, uncensored and uncharted comedy. Tickets cost R100.
* Christopher Titus, arguably one of the best stand-up comedians working in the world today, is set to head for The Lyric Theatre at Gold Reef City Casino for one show only in November this year. Catch Titus as he performs on 27 November at 20:30, ticket prices start from R200.
*The Just Because Comedy Festival on 3 and 4 December will feature a line-up of uproarious comedy from a selection of very funny people including David Kibuuka and Loyiso Gola amongst others.
* Last Laugh at The Lyric, a favourite among Joburg comedy fans is back on 10 and 11 December and will feature comedy heavyweights Barry Hilton, Mark Sampson, Soli Philander and Ndumiso Lindi.
* David Newton’s crazy two hour stand-up comedy routine can be seen on 17 and 18 December for R120 a ticket. This `best of` show reprises the funniest parts from his critically acclaimed Defending The Laid Man, Politically Incorrect, Laugh and Hollywood Sessions shows.
