Gather your friends and make your way to Colony Arms Pub at The Woods Shopping Centre on Jan Smuts Avenue. This bustling spot offers you plenty of fun, good grub, and of course, karaoke! They have a whole bunch of entertainment planned for you during the week, including Quiz Night Tuesdays, Date Night Thursdays, and Karaoke Saturdays. And Fridays are just party nights to kick start your weekend on a high note.
Underbar Craighall Park
Underbar is a basement bar/lounge that offers guests a haven to relax and enjoy after-work or after-varsity drinks and grub. This hidden gem offers everything from great music and gourmet burgers and pizzas, to live DJs, sport screenings and more. They also offer weekly specials including Happy Hour Thursdays, Beer and Burger Special Tuesdays, and Pizza Special Wednesday.
The Wild Side
The Wild Side is a hidden gem! This is a quirky and fun space to kick off you night out on the town. Enjoy the unique decor, line your stomach with their delicious dishes, and get ready for a fun-filled evening. Choose from a wide variety of scrumptious dishes and enjoy their half-price cocktails special every Friday from 4pm to 7pm!
Louise and Anna
We love Louise and Anna as a first date spot because not only will you enjoy moreish authentic Deep South Louisiana creole cuisine and refreshing cocktails, but you and your date can also play some games! What a way to break the ice – and lower the nerves! Board games, card games, and even arcade games! It’s definitely a vibe.
The Royale
For great cocktails, a great vibe, and a cool place to meet up with your friends, The Royale is a must. And, during the week, they offer a couple of specials for select days of the week. Every Wednesday, enjoy their Wine & Mussels Special for R110*. Also on Wednesday, enjoy Half Price Wine on select wines at The Royale. Sip on their Gin & tonic Special at just R50* every Thursday. And join them for Bottomless Mimosas every Sunday for R250*.
Founders at Giles
Founders at Giles is one of Craighall’s most popular meeting places, especially for the after-work crowd. They have been in business for over 30 years, and have become an institution in the area. After a busy week, pay them a visit and sip on one of their refreshing cocktails, tank beers or your favourite classic.
