What’s Happening At Fourways Mall?
The massive project will transform Fourways Mall into a 170 000m2 regional shopping destination, making it one of the largest in South Africa. The expansion plans also include the surrounding centres, including Fourways View and the existing Game building, which will be connected to Fourways Mall to create one space that will become a mega-mall. These two centres will be refurbished and upgraded, along with the expansion and upgrading of the adjacent road infrastructure.
What To Expect At The New And Improved Fourways Mall
With phase one completed, shoppers can look forward to a newly renovated ground floor known as the “Lake Level,” which will boast an incredible variety of food stores, lifestyle elements and entertainment for the whole family. Bounce Fitness Trampoline will be located on this level, with a state-of-the-art trampoline arena.
The expanded food court will offer a number of exciting tenants, including Simply Asia, Marcels Frozen Yoghurt, Adega Express, Steers, Milky Lane, Debonairs and Sausage Saloon, to name a few. New international food brands will be joining the stable, but we’ll only find out what to expect closer to the launch date. Ster Kinekor will remain in the mix and the country’s top Adventure Golf destination is still on the Lake Level.
Parking Will Be A Dream
Shoppers will have easier access into the mall with three floors of the new eight-level parkade being made available with the phase one launch. To compensate for any inconvenience during the renovation over the next few months, golf cart transport straight into the mall will be offered to shoppers from the parking area.
When Will The Revamp Be Complete?
Fourways Mall has been a central part of the area for the past 20 years and deserves a makeover by moving into a new era to better cater for the community. The expansion and refurbishment is expected to be completed in 2018* and will complement plans to position Fourways as a new CBD.
