Celebrate the Winter Solstice with this exclusive trail running event in a private game reserve. Dust off those running shoes for Friday, 23 June 2023!
What Can I Expect From The Winter Solstice Night Trail?
Picture this, you’re in the heart of the bush, it’s dusk, the jackals are crying, you’ll feel the dust under your soles and your heart beat starting to rise, this is the majestic Africa bush and you get to experience this by foot!
Attendees will have the opportunity to meander the plains and be immersed in the thick of the wildlife. The event routes include both 5km and 10km routes. Entries are limited to only 250 runners so please book soon to avoid disappointment.
The entry fee starts from R250 per person depending on the distance. Your entry fee includes; a finisher medal, branded glass followed by a complimentary gluhwein around the fire place after the trail. There will also be fully stocked waterpoints, exclusive access to well-marked trails, medical support, a restaurant and full bar onsite.
Please note that head torches are mandatory for all runners. There are no extreme climbs or immensely difficult terrain, Wild Africa Experiences have rated the route a 3/5 (5 being the most difficult). The race will start and finish at the Lion Park. Walkers and hikers are more than welcome enter for the 5km route.
