Deep in the Hundred Acre Wood, a new adventure is about to begin! Your favourite yellow bear is once again in search of honey! Take your kids to watch Winnie The Pooh Kids at The National Childrens Theatre between Sunday, 12 March and Monday, 10 April 2023.

What Can I Expect From Winnie The Pooh Kids

If you are looking for a fun and interactive way to entertain your kids during the holiday, let them meet Christopher Robin and his best friends, Winnie the Pooh, Piglet, Eeyore, Kanga, Roo, Rabbit and Owl (and of course Tigger too!) in a beautifully-crafted musical stage adaptation. The beloved titular character has been enjoyed by millions of readers since 1926!

Here is a synopsis of the play. “In this adventure Winnie the Pooh and his friends, Tigger, Piglet, Rabbit and Owl, have their happiness disturbed when they discover that Christopher Robin has been captured by the mysterious Backson! As they prepare a rescue operation, the animals learn about friendship, teamwork, and, of course… sharing snacks.”

In order to save their dear friend, they create a Backson trap, hoping that their plan will succeed, but by some strange quirk of fate, they all land up in the trap themselves, and have to work together to find a way out. In the end, of course, Christopher Robin shows up and solves the problem of the Backson. The theatre production is a perfect way to introduce your kids to the magical experience of the theater!

Under the direction of Ivor Jones, you can anticipate and outstanding professional cast. The performance takes place in their safe, outdoor, Imagination Theatre. So, bring your blankets, picnic basket and low chairs along. Should it rain, you will be advised 30 minutes prior to the performance, where you can reschedule your ticket to a more convent date and time.

Winnie The Pooh Kids is suitable for children age 3 and up. Theatre guests can look forward to supporting the tuck shop cart, that will be selling some food and drink items to enjoy during the show. There is free and secure covered parking! The doors for the show open an hour before the performance. Weekday performances are between 09:30 and 10:30 and 16:00 and 17:00. Tickets are R120 for children of the age of 2 and adults pay R140 per person.
