What Can I Expect From The Threads of Identity Production?

In this heartfelt dramedy, Owami, a talented teenage girl, flees her home in pursuit of her dreams of stardom, defying her mother’s wishes for a traditional career. As she navigates the harsh realities of the streets of Johannesburg, she encounters a cast of characters who teach her valuable lessons about resilience and purpose. Meanwhile, her mother, driven by love and concern, searches for her daughter, forming an unlikely bond with the police.

Through music, dance, and poignant drama, “Threads of Identity” explores the struggles of self-discovery, the power of family, and the quest to find one’s true voice. Please join them for a night of music, poetry, dance, and fashion in our supper theatre setting where you are invited to bring your own snacks to enjoy while watching the show!

The Franklin Players are a community-based theatre group made up of volunteers of all ages, backgrounds, and identities. The upcoming show is a charity event where they will be collecting clothing, blankets, and hygiene products to donate to a local shelter.
