What Can I Expect From The Vaal River Meander Wine Route 2025?

The Wine Route is a relaxed way to enjoy the best of South Africa’s wine, and a feel-good way to spend a lazy winter Saturday and Sunday (from midday to 6pm every weekend).

R80 per person is all it costs to enjoy tastings of 8 different wines. All of the venues on the Wine Route showcase different Wine Estates. This means you can go from venue to venue, tasting a new selection of wines that you’ve never heard of. You might even find your “new favourite” along the way.

Gauteng’s most popular Wine Route discerns itself from other Wine Routes in South Africa with its record number of ways in which you can enjoy this winter wine treat. Be it by houseboat, luxury cruiser, water-taxi, tour-bus or in your own car or in a helicopter – the Vaal River Meander Wine Route has more ways to enjoy the experience than any other Wine Route in South Africa.
