The Little Mermaid at Joburg Theatre

Disney’s The Little Mermaid, is hitting People’s Theatre shores between 8 November and 24 December 2022. Bookings are now open to the public and to school groups.

What Can I Expect From The Little Mermaid Production?

“Up where they walk, up where they run Up where they stay all day in the sun Wanderin’ free, wish I could be Part of that world!” It’s the classic story of Ariel, a young mermaid longing to leave her ocean home and live on the shore. Defying her father, King Triton, the beautiful red head makes a deal with the evil sea witch Ursula. Additionally, she attempts to convince Prince Eric that she’s the girl whose enchanting voice he’s seeking.

It’s a tale of love, bravery and making unlikely friends. Invite your family along, take your kids with and make a journey under the sea. Where Ariel and her beloved aquatic friends, feisty Sebastian, Flounder and Scuttle often get into mischief! This musical adaptation is based off Disney’s 2008 Broadway production and promises to bring all these well-loved characters to life in this spectacular “end of year” production directed by Jill Girard.

Tickets start from R160 per person and the musical is hosted at The Peoples Theatre at Joburg Theatre in Braamfontein.
