Get ready for an unforgettable commemorative event. The Heidelberg Great Train Race (HGTR) is scheduled for Saturday, 30th September 2023, at Heidelberg Airfield, in honour of the magnificent 1930s Bentley vs Le Train Bleu Race. This event allows attendees to step back in time and appreciate the simplicity and sophistication of a bygone era.
Expect to be enthralled by a procession of vintage cars and motorcycles, the thunderous presence of steam locomotives, and the daring enthusiasts soaring overhead in their flying machines at Heidelberg Train Station. There’s entertainment for the entire family!
Attendees will also have the opportunity to opt in for helicopter rides, relish the excitement of a motorcycle race, hop on miniature steam train rides, and enjoy the lively atmosphere with delightful live music.
What to anticipate:
-Vintage Bentley and steam locomotive salute at 09:00.
-Exhibitions featuring vintage cars, motorcycles, and aircraft.
-Demonstration helicopter rides.
-A motorcycle race led by a vintage Bugatti.
-A miniature railway for children.
-A beer tent and a gin bar as well as a coffee bar.
-Various vendor stalls.
-A chance to win a ride in a vintage Bentley by dressing in vintage attire.
