The Clothes Shedding Clothes Swop is a clothing exchange event, hosted at Breezeblock Cafe in Brixton. Be sure to pop in on Sunday, 14 May 2023, to see what the event is all about!
According to their event description, the event is, “aimed at creating a beautiful afternoon for fashionable people to exchange clothing, network, dance, eat and have a great time.”
The rules are simple: attendees need to bring up to 10 fashionable items. You can’t leave with more items than you came with. You also can’t take any items before the start of the event. Most of all, be kind, fair and have some fun! Tickets cost R100 per person and your ticket includes a canape and a welcome drink. Bring some cash along as food and drinks will be sold at the venue.
Furthermore, guests can shop from a POP-UP stand from professional thrifters, SAMAKI Lifestyle, who sell curated, high-quality vintage and pre-loved clothing spanning several decades. They also sell accessories and shoes. Not forgetting the sound of the day by DJ Chibukurenga from The BLCKJCKSSOUNDSYSTEM. He will be providing the perfect soundtrack to remixing your wardrobe!
