It’s Women’s month! So, tea and cake is a good way to celebrate especially when surrounded by close friends or family. You’ll also receive a tour of Lindfield House, a Victorian Era home and one of Joburg’s hidden gems!
What Can I Expect From The Tea and Cake Event?
You’re in for a treat as Katherine Love, the chatelaine of Lindfield, will be hosting a tour through her unique Victorian Era house museum in Auckland Park. The charming house has a 5-star rating on Trip Advisor. The house takes guests back in time to the late Victorian and Edwardian age on the Highveld.
The home was built in 1910 and hosts a vast collection of furniture from the period as well as art and decorative objects belonging to the Victorian era. Also on the tour is a view of 1920’s evening dresses, never shown to the public before. After your work up an appetite you’ll be guided to the conservatory where you’ll be greeted with tea and mouthwatering cakes and treats. You’ll also be able to ask Katherine any questions not covered on the tour.
Tickets for the tour and cake and tea cost R250 per person. Numbers are limited to only 20 guests, so it is recommended that you book early to secure your spot!
