Sinbad The Sailor Docks at The Teatro

Presenting Montecasino’s family-oriented pantomime for the festive season, Sinbad The Sailor. The show can be enjoyed between 19 November and 23 December 2022.

What Can I Expect From The Sinbad The Sailor Event?

Montecasino in Fourways will soon play host to the Sinbad the Sailor production loosely based on the story of famous sailor, Sinbad who sails the Seven Seas with a quirky crew along with his family. The production is inspired by Bollywood in the sense that the sets are colourful and the costumes look like something from an Arabian night.

With exciting music, dancing, a great script and energised actors, this makes for a lovely family outing. The pantomime is produced by Kickstart Theatre Company and boasts a strong cast. The audience can look out for the protagonist, Princess Marina (Kiruna-Lind Devar) and the magical larger-than-life Genie of the Seven Seas is played by Yamikani Phiri. While the titular character is played by newcomer, Micah Stojakovic.

The play is written and directed by Steven Stead; sets designed by Greg King, with choreography by Evashnee Pillay and lighting by Denis Hutchinson. Tickets are currently on sale for a special price from R120 for back row seats. Make an outing of it! Enjoy a meal before or after the show at one of Montecasino’s many cafes and restaurants.
